燃燒經──《相應部·六處相應·一切品·第六經》亦見《律藏·大品·大篇》

 

如是我聞:一時,跋嘎瓦住在嘎亞象頭山,與一千位比庫俱。

 

於其處,跋嘎瓦對比庫們說:「諸比庫,一切在燃燒。諸比庫,如何為一切在燃燒呢?諸比庫,眼在燃燒,色在燃燒,眼識在燃燒,眼觸在燃燒,緣於此眼觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

 

耳在燃燒,聲在燃燒,耳識在燃燒,耳觸在燃燒,緣於此耳觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

 

鼻在燃燒,香在燃燒,鼻識在燃燒,鼻觸在燃燒,緣於此鼻觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

舌在燃燒,味在燃燒,舌識在燃燒,舌觸在燃燒,緣於此舌觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

 

身在燃燒,觸在燃燒,身識在燃燒,身觸在燃燒,緣於此身觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

 

意在燃燒,法在燃燒,意識在燃燒,意觸在燃燒,緣於此意觸而生之受,無論是樂,或苦,或不苦不樂,其也在燃燒。以何燃燒呢?我說以貪之火、以瞋之火、以癡之火燃燒,以生、老、死燃燒,以愁、悲、苦、憂、惱燃燒。

 

 

諸比庫,多聞聖弟子如此觀察,則厭離於眼,厭離於色,厭離於眼識,厭離於眼觸,緣於此眼觸而生之受,無論是樂、苦,或不苦不樂,於彼也厭離。

 

厭離於耳,厭離於聲……厭離於鼻,厭離於香……厭離於舌,厭離於味……厭離於身,厭離於觸……厭離於意,厭離於法,厭離於意識,厭離於意觸,緣於此意觸而生之受,無論是樂、苦,或不苦不樂,於彼也厭離。厭離而離染,以離貪而解脫;於解脫而有『我已解脫』之智,他瞭知:『生已盡,梵行已立,應作已作,再無後有。』」

 

跋嘎瓦如此說。那些比庫滿意與歡喜跋嘎瓦之所說。

 

當此解說正被宣說之時,那一千位比庫心無執取而從諸漏解脫。

 

 

vā dukkhaü vā adukkhamasukhaü vā tampi ādittaü. Kena ādittaü? Rāgagginādosagginā mohagginā ādittaü, jātiyā jarāya maraõena sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upāyāsehi ādittan’ti vadāmi.

 

Jivhā ādittā, rasā ādittā, jivhāviññāõaü ādittaü, jivhāsamphasso āditto, yamidaüjivhāsamphassa- paccayā uppajjati vedayitaü sukhaü vā dukkhaü vāadukkhamasukhaü vā tampi ādittaü. Kena ādittaü? Rāgagginā dosagginā mohaggināādittaü, jātiyā jarāya maraõena sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upāyāsehiādittanti vadāmi.

 

Kāyo āditto, phoññhabbā ādittā, kāyaviññāõaü ādittaü, kāyasamphasso āditto, yamidaü kāyasamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaü sukhaü vā dukkhaü vāadukkhamasukhaü vā tampi ādittaü. Kena ādittaü? Rāgagginā dosagginā mohaggināādittaü, jātiyā jarāya maraõena sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upāyāsehiādittanti vadāmi.

 

Mano āditto, dhammā ādittā, manoviññāõaü ādittaü, manosamphasso āditto, yamidaü manosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaü sukhaü vā dukkhaü vāadukkhamasukhaü vā tampi ādittaü. Kena ādittaü? Rāgagginā dosagginā mohaggināādittaü, jātiyā jarāya maraõena sokehi paridevehi dukkhehi domanassehi upāyāsehiādittan’ti vadāmi. 

 

“Evaü passaü, bhikkhave, sutavā ariyasāvako cakkhusmimpi nibbindati, rūpesupi nibbindati, cakkhuviññāõepi nibbindati, cakkhusamphassepi nibbindati, yamidaücakkhusamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaü sukhaü vā dukkhaü vāadukkhamasukhaü vā, tasmimpi nibbindati.

Sotasmimpi nibbindati, saddesupi nibbindati ...  ghānasmimpi nibbindati, gandhesupi nibbindati ...  jivhāyapi nibbindati, rasesupi nibbindati ... kāyasmimpi nibbindati, phoññhabbesupi nibbindati ... manasmimpi nibbindati, dhammesupi nibbindati, manoviññāõepi nibbindati, manosamphassepi nibbindati, yamidaümanosamphassapaccayā uppajjati vedayitaü sukhaü vā dukkhaü vāadukkhamasukhaü vā tasmimpi nibbindati, nibbindaü virajjati, virāgā vimuccati, vimuttasmiü vimuttamiti ñāõaü hoti.‘Khīõā jāti, vusitaü brahmacariyaü, kataükaraõīyaü, nāparaü itthattāyā’ti pajānātī”ti.

Idamavoca bhagavā. attamanā te bhikkhū bhagavato bhāsitaü abhinanduü.

Imasmiñca pana veyyākaraõasmiü bhaññamāne tassa bhikkhusahassassa anupādāya āsavehi cittāni vimucciüsūti.
